JSON Compare Online: what it does
Paste two JSON documents, or upload two files, and this JSON compare tool shows a side-by-side diff. Keys are sorted and aligned, so the same property always sits on the same row even when the key order differs, and missing keys are shown as blank rows.
Differences are highlighted as additions, removals and changed values, with a counter and next / previous navigation so you can step through every change. It is a browser-based JSON diff: neither file is ever uploaded.
What the JSON diff tool can do
- Side-by-side JSON diff with aligned, alphabetically sorted keys
- Highlights added, removed and changed values
- Collapsible trees for large JSON files
- Jump from difference to difference with next and previous
- Works with JSON and XML payloads
- Paste text, upload files, or load saved favorites
- Syntax errors reported per side, so you know which file is invalid

How do I compare two JSON files online?
Paste the first JSON into the left box and the second into the right box, or upload one file on each side. The JSON diff is shown immediately, with additions, removals and changes highlighted.
Does the order of keys matter in the comparison?
No. Keys are sorted alphabetically and aligned on the same row, so objects with the same data in a different key order line up and only real differences are marked.
Can I compare large JSON files?
Yes. The result is a collapsible tree, so you can fold unchanged parts away and jump straight between differences.
Are my JSON files uploaded anywhere?
No. The comparison is done in your browser. Neither document is sent to a server.
